 The winners of the Grand Rapids Art Prize were finaly announced. The winner of the public vote was a painting by Ann Loveless’ titled “Sleeping Bear Dunes Lakeshore” (pictured to the left), the cash prize for this was $200,000. Carlos Bunga’s “Ecosystem” at the SITE:LAB was the winner of the $100,000 Juried Grand Prize, and other winners of the public vote included “Polar Expressed” by Anni Crouter, and “UPlifting” by Andy Sacksteder. They received $75,000 and $50,000.

We do lots of different projects in class, and learn about famous artists like Chuck Close, Banksy, Dr. Seuss, and many more.
